Darnell, Jess Lorenzo

age 100, died Nov 14, 1999, at Craig General Hospital. Born on Dec 22, 1898 in Fordland Missouri to Lorenzo Dow Darnell and Estella Brisendine Darnell. He moved to Canadian Indian Territory in 1903. His youth was spent in the cotton fields, smelters, coal mines and pipelines. Married Effie Ellen Mefford on May 8, 1920, in Harrison Arkansas, where they lived until 1925, when they moved to Vinita Oklahoma. She preceded him in death on Apr 25, 1992. Burial in the family plot of Pheasant Hill cemetery, near Vinita. Note: This page is misdated as Nov 9, 1999.
