A veteran, he served three years in the Army Air Force during World War II, spending two years in the Asiatic Pacific operation. Married to Hilda Wooten for 48 years. she preceded him in death on Dec 22, 1988. Ellis Family funeral home, Grove. Burial in the Sarcoxie Missouri cemetery.
