die Jan 6th at his home in Sierra Vista Arkansas. He was a veteran, a retired lieutenant colonel with the U.S. Marine Corps, he served in the Pacific during World War II. He later re-entered the Marine Corps, serving during the Korean War and Vietnam Conflict. In Vietnam, he received a Purple Heart. He was a Special services officer, receiving honors from his comrades, especially from a sergeant who wrote a book about his service under this fine officer. Hatfield funeral home in Sierra Vista and burial was in Sierra Vista.
