Mobley, Lowell D.

Abstract Data

According to Assistant District Attorney David Anderson, the office will wait until receiving all of the official reports and evidence before making detailed comments about the incident. "However, I did review the video and audio tapes taken by the camera in the officer's car and was left with the impression that Lt. Dorey acted with remarkable restraint and professionalism," said David Anderson. Mobley was suspected of being intoxicated when the white pickup truck he was driving was pulled over on South Elm Street. Allegedly, Mobley exited his vehicle "in an aggressive, threatening manner, wielding a knife and shouting obscenities toward the officer." The man allegedly lunged at the officer twice."After the second attempt, the officer reacted and shot the man." said Gary Anderson. "The whole incident took about six seconds." A preliminary report from the Tulsa Medical Examiner's Office stated that Mobley was struck by four bullets.
