Gourd, John Rattle

age 83, died Aug 1, 2000. His family traveled the Trail of Tears. He was born to Louis Gourd and Mollie O'Field Gourd on Mar 17, 1917, After being active in the service and Cherokee Nation, he was honorably discharged from the Five Civilized Tribes Corps in 1942 and honorably discharged from the U.S. Army in 1943. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ella Mae Gourd. Worley-Luginbuel funeral home, Jay Oklahoma. Burial in the Round Springs cemetery in Eucha Oklahoma.
