Born Oct 18, 1930, in Chickasha Oklahoma, to Russell J. Chance and Mary Roberts Chance. An Army veteran, he served as a sergeant during the Korean War and later served in the United States Army Reserve. Married Christine Louise Smithpeter on Mar 11, 1952, in Minden Louisiana, she survives. Burial is in G.A.R. cemetery at Miami.
