A veteran, he served in the U.S. Navy as a radio electrician. Married Ruby Doherty on Feb 24, 1932, in Oswego Kansas. She preceded him in death on Oct 10, 1991. Cooper-Althouse funeral home, Miami. Burial in G.A.R. cemetery at Miami.
