He started flying training in 1941 and graduated in 1943. ...he was assigned to pilot a bomber...he flew in 46 combat missions in the group known as the "Jolly Rogers." ...A 21-year veteran with nearly another 20 years in federal civilian service, Bearskin said he had supported the president's decision to end the war with the Japanese by using atomic force. ..Decades later, Bearskin is again supporting a president's decision to use force after the Sep 11, 2001, terrorist attack on News York City.
