Ward, J. D.

died Oct 27, 2003. He was 84. Born Jun 21, 1919, in Calvin to Jack Ward and Alice Ward.. A World War II and Korean War veteran of the Army. He left the Army ranked as Staff Sergeant and earned the World War II Victory Medal and the Asiatic Pacific Campaign Medal with two Bronze Stars. He worked at the B. F. Goodrich plant in Miami, retiring in 1977. Married Elsie Austin in 1940, she survives. Burial in Fairview cemetery.
