Wabaunsee, Madeline Beatrice

age 89, died at 2:19 am at a Miami nursing home on Jan 24, 2002.

born Apr 12, 1911. A member of the Prairie Band Potawatomie Indian Tribe, she was born on the reservation near Mayetta Kansas. She attended school on the reservation until the ninth grade then attended Haskell Institute at Lawrence Kansas. Taught in the public school system at Muskogee Okla. She moved to Miami in 1960 and taught there until her retirement. Burial in the Catholic cemetery, Seneca Missouri.
