A photo. "Penie" Stokes was born Jan 10, 1919, in Alicia Arkansas to Clay Stokes and Prudy K. Padgett Stokes. Moved to Miami as a young child. While a teenager, he was a four-state swimming and diving champion for several years. Married Fannie Pauline Skye on Jan 13, 1937, in Columbus Kansas, she survives. Burial at Lowell Kansas cemetery.
