Stokes, Fannie P.

Skye' Stokes, of Miami, died Nov 30, 2003. She was 84.

born Apr 29, 1918, in rural Ottawa county Okla to Amos Skye and Jessie Price Skye. She moved to Miami in 1937. Owned and operated Stokes Cardinal Food Stores until retirement in 1979. A member of the Peoria Indian Tribe. Married George Cornell Penie' Stokes on Jan 13, 1937, in Columbus Kansas. He preceded her in death on May 12, 2002. Burial and Indian rites at the Lowell Kansas cemetery.
