Sawyer, William H.

of Winfield Kansas, died Jan 10, 2003, at William Newton Hospital. He was 90. Born Dec 13, 1912, in New Salem Kansas, to Harry S. Sawyer and Ivy Thirsk Sawyer. He grew up in and was educated in New Salem Kansas. He later moved to Winfield. He was a farmer and a truck driver in the oil fields for many years, retiring from Butler Bros, of Winfield in 1974. Married Lela Audean Neal on Jun 9, 1935, in Wichita Kansas. She preceded him in death on Aug 24, 1993. Burial will be in Highland cemetery.
