Ray, Sam Ross Jr.

age 80, died Jan 28, 2002, at his Joplin Missouri home.

Born Oct 11, 1921, in Picher to Sam D. Ray and Minnie Long Ray. Lived in Joplin for the past four years moving from Galena Kansas. A veteran, he served in the Navy during World War II. He retired from the naval shipyards at Mare Island California, after 30 years. Burial in Lowell Kansas cemetery.
