born Feb 14, 1924, in Burk Texas to Mark Edgar Price and Victoria Conner Price. Lived in Baxter Springs since 1955 moving from Cardin Okla. A veteran, he served in the U.S. Army during World War II, serving 10 months with the 681st Glider Field Artillery Battalion of the 17th Airborne Division in England, France, Belgium, Luxembourg and Germany. He received a Purple Heart for wounds received in combat. Married Norma Jean Carrupt Jan 10, 1947, in Columbus Kansas, she survives. Burial in G.A.R. cemetery, Miami.
