Prather, Percy Howard

age 92, of Grove Okla, died Jul 2, 2002, at a nursing home in Jay Okla. Born May 24, 1909, in Grove, one of 14 children of Howard Lee "Baxter" Prather and Frances McGee Prather. Lived in the Grove area until 1937, when he moved to Shaeffer's Crossing Wyoming. He returned to the White Water area of Okla in 1971, from Denver Colorado. A veteran, he served in the Navy during World War II and was stationed on the USS West Virginia in the South Pacific. While in Wyoming, he worked as a cowboy. After being critically injured in an automobile accident in 1980, Prather spent the remainder of his life in residential care. Burial at the Buzzard cemetery.
