Born Sep 29, 1916, in Clay City Illinois to Ralph Burchett and Louise Holbaugh Burchett. Lived in the Welch Okla and Miami area most of her life. She worked for B. F. Goodrich compnay, Miami, from 1945 to 1978, as a band builder. Married to Newell Newkird and Joe V. Powell. Both preceded her in death. Burial in Williams Timberhill cemetery, west of Miami.
