Powell, Donald Loren

of Baxter Springs Kansas, died Jan 14, 2003, at a Joplin Missouri hospital. He was 47. Born Oct 25, 1955, in Pittsburg Kansas, to Loren French Powell and Neva Eileen Ulbrich Powell. He attended grade school in West Mineral, Kansas, graduating from Southeast High School with the class of 1973. He also attended Southeast Area Vo-Tech School in Columbus, Kan. He received a bachelor of science degree in education from Pittsburg State University in 1981. He was a veteran of the Air Force, serving from 1973 to 1977. He and his wife owned Modern Jewelry Store in Baxter. Married Lisabeth June Broyles on Jul 10, 1982, in Baxter. She survives. Burial will be in Baxter Springs Kansas cemetery.

He served with the Air Force from Oct 3, 1973 to Jul 17, 1977.
