of Jay Okla died Apr 1, 2003, at Grove Okla. She was 91. Born Jun 18, 1911, to James Alva and Ira Mae Sturges in Delaware county Okla. She attended school in Strang and Jay. She moved to Jay in 1955, from Colorado. Married Lemmie Earl Pendergraft on Nov 12,1930, in Ordway Colorado. She and her husband had the second largest bean farm in Colorado. She worked various jobs at Guinn Nursing Home, Grove General Hospital, Vinita Eastern State Hospital, operated a day care out of her home and owned and operated the Main Street Cafe in Jay. She was preceded in death by her husband. Burial in Mose Ridge cemetery.
