Nichols, Fred W.

of Durango Colorado, died Feb 6, 2003, in Miami. He was 89. Born Oct 14, 1913, in Goodland Kansas, to Wilfred C. Nichols and Vida B. Bryan Nichols. He moved to Durango in 1929. He had been a resident of the area for the past four months. He married Josephine Jo' O'Brien in 1938. She preceded him in death on Jun 11, 1942. He was an Army veteran of World War II. He later married Ruth M. Richards on Mar 3, 1948. She preceded him in death on Apr 27, 1993. He retired from the U. S. Postal Service in Durango after 35 years. Burial in the Greenmount cemetery in Durango.
