A photo. Retired Army Major Nance, died at his home in Pacifica California on Sep 28, 2002. He was born in Joplin Missouri and raised in Picher Okla. He graduated from Picher on May 5, 1937, and after three years of college, joined the Army and was comissioned a second lieutenant, in June 1943 at Fort Mammoth New Jersey. A Pearl Harbor survivor, he served in World War II and Korea. He served his country throughout the world before retiring in 1959. He and his family settled in Pacifica in 1954. He is survived by his wife, Zelma Nance of 59 years. No burial place given.
