Miles, Frank C.

age 84, of Chetopa Kansas, died at 6:45 am May 5, 2002. Born Oct 22, 1917, in rural Chetopa to Charles A. Miles and Hattie Hurd Miles. A veteran, he served in the Army Infantry during World War II from 1942 to 1945. He fought in the Battle of the Bulge and was awarded the World War II Victory Ribbon, good Conduct Medal, EAME Theater ribbon, Silver Service Star and the bronze Star. Discharge with the rank of master sergeant. Married Irma Cochran on Jul 20, 1940. They later divorced. He married Illa Kell on Mar 31, 1968, she survives. Burial in the Oak Hill cemetery of Chetopa.
