Merit, Michael L.

Marine Corps Sgt. Merit, son of Teri S. Pribble of Broken Arrow Okla and Morris L. Merit of Miami, recently received the Air Medal for outstanding service at Marine Aerial Refueler Transport Squadron 352, San Diego. While serving as KC-130 aircraft loadmaster, Merit deployed with Commander, U.S. Fifth Fleet, in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. He successfully completed 216 combat missions in Afghanistan. His efforts helped ensure victory in the skies and on the ground. He is currently assigned to Marine Aerial Refueler Transport Squadron 152, Okinawa, Japan. He is a 1998 graduate of Broken Arrow High School and joined the Marine Corps in June 1998.
