Born Jul 22, 1921, in Commerce Okla to Edward Martin and Zula Whitaker Martin. Lived in Bernice for 25 years, moving from Miami. He was a World War II veteran of the Navy. He worked at B. F. Goodrich in Miami until his retirement. Married Billy Louise Tate on Nov 30, 1943, in Miami. Cremated with burial in Mt. Hope cemetery in Afton Okla.
