71, of Bartlesville Okla, formerly of Miami, died April 25, 2002, following an extended illness. Born on Aug 31, 1930 at Lincoln Park, Detroit Michigan to Truman Mahurin and Nellie Irene Smith Mahurin. A veteran, he served with the U.S. Air Force from Oct 5, 1948, honorable discharged as a Staff Sergeant on Aug 7, 1952. He was employed at the NEO Railroad Company of Miami, American Machine and Foundry Company in California, and the Hulvey Insurance Agency at Miami for several years. He later was employed at Reda Pump at Bartlesville. Married first to Shirley Forbes, they divorced 1966. Married second to Bonnie Smith Branstetter in 1967. She preceded him in death Feb 19, 1989. Married third to Lodema Florer on Jan 29, 1994, she survives. Mahurin was preceded in death by his mother, Nellie Smith Mahurin, his father Truman Mahurin, brothers, Harold Mahurin and Leslie Mahurin, and a sister Ruth Mahurin Booth. He was also preceded in death by son, Ted Mahurin on Jan 11, 1986, and a granddaughter, Stacy Mahurin on Jan 11, 1992. Survivors include two daughters; Thena Mahurin Lloyd and Sheila Mahurin Williams; grandchildren Jim Lloyd, Jake Lloyd and Jaclyn Lloyd and one great-granddaughter Maria Lloyd. He is also survived by sister-in-law Jane Mahurin and several nieces, nephews and cousins of the area, and a step-brother Bob Snow of Sulphur Springs Texas. He is also survived by step-children Matt Branstetter, Todd Branstetter, Diane Florer Hodges, Connie Florer Bookout, Sabrina Florer Robinson and John Florer; 17 step-grandchildren and 14 step-great grandchildren. Burial Fairland Okla cemetery.
