Kissee, Darrell D.

age 75, of Miami, died at 2:50 pm on Mar 29, 2002, at Rogers Arkansas. Born in Hoxie Arkansas Sep 16, 1926 to Till Kissee and Essie Nellie McElfresh Kissee. A veteran, he enlisted in the Navy in Aug of 1944, and served in World War II in the Pacific as an armed guard and gunnery captain. He was awarded the Victory Medal, American Area medal and the Asiatic Pacific medal. Honorably discharged in December of 1945. Married Vera Darter on Dec 24, 1949, she preceded him in death on Mar 17, 1990. On Oct 18, 1997, Kissee married Alene Law of Joplin Missouri, she survives. Burial in G.A.R. cemetery in Miami.
