Ketcher, Meryl

age 90, of Hood River Oregon, died Aug 9, 2002. Born Feb 15, 1912, in Council House Okla to Alexander Spicer and Rena Cotter Spicer. Lived in Council House until 1929 when she moved to Quapaw. She attended the Seneca Indian School in Wyandotte Okla where she was an honor student, played basketball and baseball and was active in the 4-H Club. She moved to the Hood River Valley in 1949 from Miami. She was three-eights Seneca Indian and was proud to be on the Seneca-Cayuga roll at the Miami Indian Agency in Miami. Married Bert Ketcher on Aug 3, 1929 in Grove Okla. He preceded her in death in 1991. Burial is at Pine Grove cemetery.
