Johnson, Homer J.

age 80, of Miami, died at 12:59 pm, Mar 5, 2002, at a Joplin Missouri hospital.

Born May 11, 1921, in Afton to Homer Johnson and Lula Cox Johnson. Married LaVerna A. Berkbigler on Jan 23, 1943, in Washington, D.C., she survives. A veteran, he served in World War II and Korea. He was part of the third wave on the landing at Omaha Beach on D-Day. He was an insurance agent for security Mutual Life of Lincoln Nebraska for 50 years. Burial at G.A.R. cemetery at Miami.
