Howey, Virgil Benten

age 90, of Baxter Springs Kansas, died at 5 am Mar 31, 2002, at a Joplin Missouri hospital. Born near West Mineral Kansas to Dora Howey and Ira Howey. Moved to Baxter in 1946. A veteran, he served in the Navy during World War II and was stationed at the 13th Naval district in Seattle Washington, until honorably discharged in 1945 as a seaman first class. Married Rosy Claudine Perry on Sep 12, 1933, in Oswego Kansas, she survives. Burial place is not noted.
