born Feb 3, 1918, in Milo Missouri, to James Raymond Draper and Katie Pruitt Draper. He moved to Miami in 1938, and to Herlong California, in 1951, returning to Miami in 1991. He was a World War II veteran of the Army's Combat Engineers. He was in the Battle of the Bulge. He worked at the Eagle-Picher Central Mill in Commerce where he became a swing foreman. He played baseball with the Commerce Merchants. He married Lavada Mae Huxall in 1940. She preceded him in death. Burial at Diamond Crest cemetery in Susanville California.
