He was a crane and high boom operator for Colorado Fuel and Iron for more than 30 years. He owned and operated the former L&T Coats Service Station in Miami. Married Margaret Blackwell on Mar 2,1942, in Woodward. She preceded him in death on Aug 2, 1966. Married Geneva M. Tilley' Bailey on Jun 30, 1970, in Pueblo Colorado. She survives. Burial in G.A.R. cemetery in Miami.
