a photo, Meh ta' neh, age 79, died at 2:50 pm, Jul 6, 2002. Born Aug 25, 1922, at Devil's Promenade in Ottawa county Okla to Benjamin Quapaw and Agnes Quapaw. She was the last pure-blood female member of the Quapaw tribe. She is survived by nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews. Preceded in death by her parents; her stepfather, Henry Hoffman; a sister, Geneva Ramsey; and two brothers, Charles Hoffman and Henry Hoffman, Jr. Burial in the Benjamin Quapaw family cemetery, east of Quapaw. Indian rites will be conducted at the graveside.
