Bates, Velma

died Mar 31, 2003, at Grove Okla Nursing Center. She was 90. Bates was born Aug 31, 1912, in Woods County to Earl Vaughn and Stella Nancy Shanks Vaughn.. She moved to Grove in 1974 from Wichita Kansas. She married Roy Bates in 1942 at Wichita. He preceded her in death in October 1966. Burial will be at White Chapel Memorial Garden Cemetery in Wichita.
