Martin Baird, 67, died following a long illness. Born May 10, 1905, at Pittsburg Kansas, Mr. Martin had resided 32 years in the Commerce area. He was a member of the North Miami Christian church and the Picher Masonic lodge. Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Thelma Baird, of the home; and three sisters, Mrs. Goldie Az of Commerce, Mrs. Fannie Cone, Joplin Missouri, and Mrs. Violet Blackwell, Santa Paula California. Pallbearers will be E. K. Scott, Burl Turner, Andy Andrews, Joe Schubet, Vernon Wilson and Ted Jones.
