Willis, Maud

Obituary -- age 76, a longtime resident of Ottawa county Oklahoma died Friday evening. The wife of the last Dr. M. P. Willis, who died in 1934, Mrs. Willis moved to Lincolnville Indian Territory Oklahoma with her husband in 1905, and had since been a resident of Ottawa county. Mrs. Willis turned the first shovelful of earth when ground was broken for construction of the First Baptist church building in Commerce Oklahoma in 1918. ...burial in G.A.R. cemetery at Miami under direction of the Mitchelson funeral home of Commerce Oklahoma.
