Rev. W. C. Willy, 59, pastor of the Christian church at Tar River Oklahoma [now Cardin Oklahoma], died at 2:40 o'clock Friday morning at his home of a complication of diseases. Rev. Willy had been ill for some time but his condition had not been considered serious until but a few days ago. The deceased was born in Illinois in 1862. He spent most of his boyhood days in that state and later moved to Missouri, settling near Carl Junction. Here he engaged in teaching and later took up newspaper work. About 10 years ago he moved to Ottawa county Oklahoma and here he entered his profession as a school teacher again. He followed this for some time until a few years ago when he was called to Tar River Oklahoma to take the pastorate of the Christian church there. Besides Mrs. Willy he is survived by two grown daughters. The funeral will be held Sunday afternoon at 3 o'clock from the Christian church at Tar River. The Masonic lodge will take part in the funeral services. Interment will be made in the G.A.R. cemetery, Miami.
