Obituary -- age 72, who has lived on his father's homestead near Seneca Missouri for the last 65 years, died last night in a Joplin Missouri hospital. He was born in Creswell Indiana, in 1861, coming to this country about 1871. He was married at Wyandotte Oklahoma in 1884. Surviving besides his wife, Mrs. Caroline Welker, are three daughters, Mrs. E. W. Calhoun of Joplin, Mrs. Charles Burns of Grove Oklahoma and Mrs. Burton Brite of Seneca; one son, Jack Welker of Seneca; two sisters, Mrs. Louie Buzzard of Seneca and Mrs. Matt Buzzard of Kenwood Oklahoma; 10 grandchildren and one great grandchild. Funeral services will be conducted by the Rev. Cecil Vermillion of Grove Oklahoma at the Swars Prairie Baptist church Friday. Burial will be at the Swars Prairie cemetery, under direction of the Mitchellson undertaking company, Commerce Oklahoma.
