Obituary -- Commerce Oklahoma, May 4, Crawford Webb, 87 years old, believed to have been Ottawa county's oldest citizens from standpoint of residence, died unexpected near his home on Miami Route 2 Monday as he started to enter a relative's automobile. Death came about 5:45 pm shortly after he collapsed. His home is located about 10 miles northwest of Commerce. Webb, a retired farmer and stockman, came to Indian Territory in what is now Ottawa county Oklahoma in 1884 and had resided in this area since that year. Survivors include three sons, Claude Webb and Roy Webb, both of Miami Rt 2 and Bryan Webb of Melrose Kansas; two daughters, Mrs. Florence Rose of Osawatomie Kansas, and Mrs. Mildred Logan of the home; a sister, Mrs. Sadie Gobin of Elko Nevada; 12 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Funeral arrangements are incomplete. The Mitchelson funeral of Commerce is in charge.

Obituary -- Funeral services for Crawford Webb, 87 year old Ottawa county Oklahoma pioneer, will be held at 2 o'clock Thursday afternoon in the First Christian church at Commerce. The Rev. M. Hutson will officiate. Webb was believed to have been the oldest county citizen from the standpoint of residence having lived here 63 years. He died unexpectedly Monday afternoon near his home on Miami Rt 2. Pallbearers will be J. G. Logan, Dick Lawton, Dee T. Watters, Van Olds, Bert Taylor and Mark Yeat. Burial will be in Fairview cemetery, west of Melrose Kansas under the direction of Mitchelson funeral home of Commerce.
