Obituary -- Sid Walker, a retired independent mine operator who moved to Commerce Oklahoma [then Hattonville Oklahoma] shortly after the turn of the century, died this morning in Enid Oklahoma. He was 78 years old. The long-time Commerce resident is survived by three sons, Albert Walker, Commerce; Chauncy Walker, Tulsa Oklahoma, and Wilburt Walker, Moral Oklahoma; a sister, Mrs. Myrtle Gault, Commerce; a brother, Bob Walker, Welch Oklahoma, and two grandchildren. Funeral arrangements will be announced by the Mitchelson mortuary, Commerce.

Obituary -- Final rites for Sid Walker, former resident of Commerce, will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Mitchelson funeral home in Commerce. The Rev. Franklin Simmons will officiate. Burial will be in G.A.R. cemetery at Miami. A retired independent mine operator, Walker, 78, died at his home in Enid Thursday.
