Obituary -- William Harding Throop, 72, of Commerce Oklahoma, died at the Miami Baptist hospital at 9:30 am today after a short illness. He had been an employee of the Federal Mining Company for the past 30 years. Survivors include his wife, Della Throop of Commerce; five daughters, Mrs. Lorraine Hicklin, Mrs. Gladys O'Dell and Lucy Belle Throop, all of Los Angeles California, and Mrs. Beulah Bennett and Mrs. Wanda Hutchens of Commerce; four sons, Charles Throop of Big Sandy Texas, Minford Throop of North Miami Oklahoma, Cecil Throop of Mammoth Arizona, Jimmy Throop of the Navy in North Africa; five step-daughters, Mrs. John Brewer of Denver, Mrs. Flora Peters of Moline Illinois, Mrs. Bonnie Stainer and Mrs. Axine Flynn of Vallejo California, and Lois Shelton of Commerce; two step-sons, Billy Shelton with the Army in North Africa and Bobby Shelton of Commerce, and 20 grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and four step-grandchildren. Funeral services will be announced by the Mitchelson funeral home.
