Obituary -- age 25 years. Highway accidents claimed another victim early today when a light pickup truck overturned at an intersection east of Commerce Oklahoma, instantly killing a Craig county Oklahoma man and injuring another. A third occupant of the machine escaped uninjured. Cleve Shouse, 25 years old, living near Welch Oklahoma, was fatally injured in the mishap, which occurred when Lester Koger, 25, of near Welch, driver of the car, attempted to turn into Highway 66 from the Century road at high speed. The car's wheels buckled when they hit the paving and the vehicle rolled over several times. Koger was rushed in a Mitchelson ambulance to Miami Baptist hospital, where it was disclosed he suffered from a smashed and fractured nose, a chin cut and several lacerations about the arms and chest. Alex Hecksher of Commerce, escaped injury. The youth is suffering from shock, however, according to Deputy Sheriff Herman Mozer who investigated. The accident occurred at 2:30 am, the officer said. After the car had stopped rolling, Hecksher started running along the highway to locate assistance. He finally was able to find aid and the injured member was taken to the hospital. Mozer said that the dead man's head was crushed in. The body was badly torn and bruised. The body was taken to the Mitchelson undertaking company at Commerce. Funeral arrangement, it was announced at noon are incomplete. Shouse is survived by his father, Nim Shouse, with whom he lived. Also surviving are two brothers, Howard Shouse and Harry Shouse, and a sister, Miss Arah Shouse, special nurse at Miami Baptist hospital. The sister was reported to be on a vacation in Indiana.
