Abstract Data

Obituary -- A fall from a chair at his parents' home, resulted in the death today of 3 year old Johnnie Olds, son of Mr. and Mrs. O. P. Olds, who live one-half mile west of CommerceOklahoma. The infant fell on his head and was knocked unconscious. An older sister, about 10 years old, carried him inside the home, where the infant died a few minutes later, presumably of a broken neck about 11 am. Besides the parents, the infant is survived by nine brothers and sisters. Funeral arrangements are incomplete. The Mitchelson undertaking is in charge.

Obituary -- Funeral services for 3 year old Johnnie Olds, who was killed by a fall from a chair at his home near Commerce Friday, will be held at the Assembly of God church in Commerce at 2 pm Monday. The Rev. Harry Rogers will officiate. He is survived in addition to his parents, five brothers, Otto Olds, Elephant Butte, New Mexico; Carl Olds, Paul Olds, Mark Olds and Billy Olds of the home; and four sisters, Naomi Olds, Viola Olds, Mabel Olds and Alta Olds, also of the home. [Note: See Verdia Jose June Olds. It appears this family lost two children in a little over a year.] Burial will be in the G.A.R. cemetery, Miami, under the direction of Mitchelson undertaking company.
