Obituary -- Funeral services for Hal Mitchelson, funeral home operator at Commerce Oklahoma since 1922, will be held at 2 pm Monday in the high school auditorium. Mitchelson, 70, died Friday morning, Apr 13, 1956, at his home, 308 South Maple street, Commerce. The Rev. Robert Bridges, former pastor of the First Baptist church, will officiate. Other pastors, who will assist, are the Revs. C. E. Bergen, First Baptist church, Picher Oklahoma; W. F. Gilchrist, Assembly of God church; Rev. Franklin Simmons, First Methodist church, and Roy Blizzard, First Christian church, Commerce.
Nephews who will act as pallbearers are Mark Mitchelson, Bob Mitchelson, Ray Mitchelson, Hal Mitchelson, Bill Mitchelson and Fred Mitchelson. Area funeral directors will serve as honorary pallbearers. Former employees, who will direct the funeral arrangements, are Don Dyer, Aubert Sidwell, Jack Thomas and Jim Thomas, Russell Moudy and Jimmie Smith and Charles Smith. Funeral will be in G.A.R. cemetery under direction of Mitchelson funeral home, Commerce. Commerce business houses will close from 2 to 3 pm Monday, Mayor Homer Baker announced.

Roy Blizzard, commerce Christian church minister. Burial will be in G.A.R cemetery at Miami.
