Obituary -- funeral services for Mrs. Ada Newman Mills, who died Friday morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Lela Allen in Hobbs New Mexico, will be held at 2 o'clock Tuesday afternoon at the First Baptist church in Commerce. The Rev. I. E. Taylor will officiate and burial will be in G.A.R. cemetery under the direction of the Mitchelson undertaking company, Commerce Oklahoma.

Obituary -- Funeral services for Mrs. Ada Newman Mills, 46 years old, who died Friday morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Lelia Allen in Hobbs, were held at 2 o'clock Tuesday afternoon at the First Baptist church in Commerce. The Rev. I. E. Taylor, pastor, officiated; he was assisted by the Rev. C. C. Cockrum, pastor of the Christian church. A solo, "There'll Be No Tears in Paradise," was sung by Noel Wyatt. Pallbearers were members of the Phebean class of the First Baptist church. Burial was made in G.A.R. cemetery at Miami under the direction of the Mitchelson undertaking company. Mrs. Mills is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Lelia Allen of Hobbs; one son, Jimmie Elliott of California; her mother, Mrs. Hannah Newman of Commerce; two brothers, Lemuel Newman of Baxter Springs Kansas and David Newman of Cherryvale Kansas, and four sisters, Mrs. Minnie Warner of Tulsa Oklahoma, Mrs. Charley Cantrell, Mrs. Charles Ward and Mrs. Goldie Stone, all of Commerce. Mrs. Mills, a former Commerce resident, took an active part in the early years of Hattonville Oklahoma and Commerce, having built the old Electric theater building and erecting many modern rental houses. The land on which Commerce is built was an Indian allotment belonging to Mrs. Mills and her sister, Mrs. Minnie Warner of Tulsa; being sold by them to the Commerce Townsite Company after government restrictions had been removed. Among those from out of town who attended the funeral of Mrs. Ada Newman Mills at the First Baptist church Tuesday afternoon were: Mrs. Minnie Warner and daughters, Georgia Lee Warner, Mrs. Bertha Bachus and Mrs. Grace Kenton, all of Tulsa Oklahoma; Mr. and Mrs. Lemuel Newman, Mrs. Lelia Gregory, Mrs. Liddie Knight and Mrs. Dot Overman, all of Baxter Springs Kansas; Mr. and Mrs. John LaFalier and Mr. and Mrs. Hud Huddleston, of Cardin Oklahoma, and Mr. and Mrs. Mike Young of Wiburton Kansas.
