Obituary -- Funeral services for Pfc Raymond Clyde Marlow, who lost his life while fighting against axis forces near San Salvatore, Italy, on Oct 24, 1948, will be conducted at the Assembly of God church at 2 pm Friday. Maj. Ward Allen of Commerce, a World War II army chaplain, will officiate. The Taylor Shouse post of the American Legion will conduct military rites at the grave in G.A.R. cemetery Miami. Re-burial will be under direction of the Mitchelson funeral home. The body is scheduled to arrive in Miami at 1:10 pm today, Thursday. The son of Mrs. Maggie Dean Marlow of Commerce, the U.S. 45th division infantryman was 35 years old when he was killed. He enlisted on Feb 12, 1941. Other survivors include four brothers, Fred Marlowe of Rolla Missouri, Jess Marlowe of Albuquerque New Mexico, Lora Marlowe of Compton California, and Harvey Marlowe of Commerce; six sisters, Mrs. Ette Netter of San Diego California, Mrs. Dortha Seymour of Albuquerque, Mrs. Maggie Dubois of Picher Oklahoma, Mrs. Allie Black, Mrs. Laura Williams and Mrs. Bessie Marlowe, all of Commerce.
