Lassiter, Joseph Denny

Obituary -- age 32 years old, resident of Picher Oklahoma, died Sunday morning at Oswego Kansas. He had been undergoing treatment at Oswego. He was an employee of the Eagle Picher Mining and Smelting Company for 15 years. Surviving him are one son, Denny Lassiter, of Carthage Missouri; one brother, Ralph Lassiter, of Picher; two sisters, Mrs. Lora Althouse of Commerce Oklahoma and Mrs. Iva Bell of Kansas City, and his mother, Mrs. Lula Lassiter of Picher. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:30 pm Tuesday at the Picher First Baptist church. The Rev. C. E. Bergen will officiate. Pallbearers will be Ben Stanley, Benny Payton, Tony McTeer, Herman Stuckley, Hugh Arnold and Pinkey Woods. Burial will be in Carterville Missouri cemetery under direction of the Mitchelson funeral home, Commerce.
