Joplin, Sarah McClellan Nelson

Obituary -- a resident of Commerce Oklahoma for the last 37 years, died at her home at 123 North River street in Commerce, at 3:30 pm Monday. She was 70 years old. Survivors include two sons, Harry Nelson of Hobbs New Mexico and Walter Nelson of Miami; two daughters, Mrs. Ernest Ousley of Commerce and Mrs. Merle Bangs of Kellog Idaho; a brother, N. W. McClellan of Portland Oregon; a sister, Mrs. T. P. Kessler of Portsmouth Virginia; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at the First Baptist church of which he was a charter member at 3 o'clock Wednesday afternoon. The Rev. J. Grover Scales will officiate. Burial will be in G.A.R. cemetery at Miami under direction of the Mitchelson funeral home, Commerce.
