Garrett, Maime or Mayme

Obituary -- 65 years old, of Quapaw Oklahoma, suffered a compound fracture of the leg and lacerations about the body this morning, when a house which he was moving fell on him. He was rushed to Miami Baptist hospital in an ambulance of the Todd undertaking company. It was said at the hospital his condition was critical.

Obituary -- Maime Garrett, 59 years old, of Quapaw, died at 7:30 o'clock last night at Miami Baptist hospital from injuries received yesterday morning when a drill rig which he was moving slipped and fell on him. Surviving relatives include his wife, Mrs. Emma J. Garrett; two sons, Ted Garrett and Jack Garrett, of Cardin Oklahoma; one daughter, Mrs. Bessie Gulick of Douthat Oklahoma; four brothers, George Garrett of Arcadia Kansas, Frank Garrett of Miami, and Mark Garrett and Charles Garrett of Arma Kansas; and four sisters, Mrs. Anna Crawford of Arma, Mrs. Nannie Karns of Kansas City Missouri, Mrs. Addie Hamilton of Catalee Oklahoma, and Mrs. Susie Jamison of Mulberry Kansas. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 o'clock Friday afternoon at the Methodist church in Quapaw. The Rev. Mrs. Lou Love will officiate. Burial will be in the Miami G.A.R. cemetery under direction of the Mitchelson undertaking company of Commerce Oklahoma. Mr. Garrett had been a resident of Quapaw many years. He was born in Vermillion county Illinois, Oct 9, 1866.

Maime Garret - Funeral services for Maime Garrett, 59 years old, of Quapaw, who died Wednesday from injuries received while assisting in the moving of a house, were held at the Methodist church in Quapaw at 2 o'clock this afternoon. Burial was in the Miami cemetery, by the Hal Mitchelson undertaking company, Commerce.
