Forbes, William Elmer

Obituary -- Elmer Forbes, 57 years old, died this morning at the Vinita Oklahoma hospital. He lived at 314 Vine street, Commerce. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Zenna Forbes; one stepson, Maurice Phebus; one brother, Jess Forbes, of Sparks Oklahoma; one sister, Katherine Jones of Pierce City Missouri; his stepmother, Mrs. Julia Forbes of Powell Missouri; one half-sister, Mrs. Leon Oakes; four half-brothers, Mart Forbes, Montie Forbes, Marion Forbes and Carl Forbes, of Powell Missouri. Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Thursday afternoon at the First Baptist church. The Rev. I. E. Taylor will officiate. Burial will be in the G.A.R. cemetery at Miami, under the direction of the Mitchelson undertaking company.
