Obituary -- ... of Miami, was fatally injured in a head-on crash on highway 66, two miles southwest of Quapaw Oklahoma, said to have been the county's worst highway accident of 1940. ... officials said they had "about reached the conclusion that Buck, who was moving northwest toward Quapaw, near the underpass, was driving on the wrong side of the road." He was believed to be going to the home of his father Frank Buck. ...Buck, whose skull was crushed, died in an ambulance en route to Miami hospital. ...Buck, widely known among young people in this vicinity, had managed a North Main street service station until recent months. He is survived by his father, Frank Buck, who lives three and one-half miles east of Quapaw; his mother, Mrs. Josie Kitto, who operates the Virginia apartments, in Miami; his grandmother, Mrs. Mary Daughterty of near Quapaw, and a half brother, Billy Buck. Burial in G.A.R. cemetery at Miami. Mitchelson funeral home of Commerce Oklahoma.
